She’s a member of local writing groups focused on expanding underrepresented narratives in fiction, CNF, and poetry from Women, BIPOC and LGTBQ+ writers. Through these workshops, She provides written feedback, developmental edits, and learns craft methods.
As of late, she’s obsessed with motherhood and humor. Her brand of deadpan humor was last witnessed at Improbable Comedy, Grassroots Comedy, Just Kidding Collective, and Seltzer Comedy.
Her writing journey began in Queens, New York, working as a reporter covering climate change, women’s issues, community news, education, culture, gentrification, and other beats for The Queens Ledger and Media Global at the United Nations. She has a Bachelor in Journalism & Creative Writing from the City University of New York, Baruch College.
Raised in New York City, born in Peru, She’s lived and worked in polar opposite cities in the U.S. and abroad learning how humans are shaped by their social, historical, and ecological landscape.
During off hours, she spies on birds, ice skates, runs, and dances kind of funky.
