As of late, she’s experimenting with humor on stage. Her brand of silly deadpan was last witnessed at Improbable, Grassroots, Seltzer Comedy, and Just Kidding Collective.
She’s a member of writing groups focused on expanding underrepresented narratives in fiction, CNF, and poetry from Women, BIPOC and LGTBQ+ writers. Through these workshops, she provides written feedback, developmental edits, and learns craft methods.
Her writing journey began in Queens, New York, working as a reporter covering climate change, women’s issues, community news, education, culture, gentrification, and other beats for Media Global at the United Nations and The Queens Ledger. She has a Bachelor in Journalism & Creative Writing from the City University of New York, Baruch College.
Raised in New York and born in Peru, she has lived and worked in polar opposite cities in the U.S. and abroad learning how humans are shaped by their social, historical, and ecological landscape.
During off hours, she spies on birds, ice skates, runs, and dances kind of funky.
